BibleReaderME is a Java (J2ME) application designed for cell phones or other mobile devices with a J2ME JVM runtime environment, providing these devices access to the full text of the ESV Bible from Crossway Bibles.

BibleReaderME was created in order to make it easier to carry your Bible with you. Many of us now carry cell phones or other devices wherever we go. BibleReaderME turns your Internet-capable cell phone into a Bible. Read it on the subway on your morning commute. Read it throughout your workday. Read it in the doctor's office while you wait. BibleReaderME makes it convenient to fit the Bible into your life.
How it works
The generous people at Crossway Bibles have provided a web service to make the text of their ESV Bible more widely available. BibleReaderME does not "install" or "download" this entire text onto the meager storage of your mobile device. Instead, it provides an easy-to-use interface for looking up texts and navigating through them. The specified passages are retrieved using your mobile device's Internet connection. Additional usage fees may be applicable, so check with your mobile provider. While the transmitted data may not amount to much, the best plan to have when using BibleReaderME is an "unlimited data" plan such as the Sprint PCS Vision plan.
